We seek to be the “church at the heart of the community”. This means we have a passion to see our local community of Northland & Wilton (and beyond) flourish. In other words, we love local.
One of the key ways we love local is by providing spaces where people can belong. From Thursday Munch, a shared meal for those retired or home during the day time, to a Guys’ Curry & Beer night (which does what it says). Check out the ‘Community’ tab on our menu for info about the groups that meet.
For many of us our primary place of belonging is on Sunday morning, where we gather and connect with one another and also with God. Check out the ‘Worship’ tab on our menu for more info on our Sunday worship services.
We see ourselves as a church family, who are disciples, that care for the last, least and lost. We endeavour to be inclusive and love seeing people use their gifts and talents to serve others. We see ourselves as a local church, with a commitment to one another and to the wider community.
We have been worshipping and serving in Northland since 1905! This was when the first church of St Anne’s was opened (on the corner of Northland and Woburn Roads). In 1999 we moved into the current church premises, which used to be the Ward Memorial Methodist Church.
We are part of a wider church family; of the Anglican Diocese of Wellington and the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.
