A number of parishioners are involved in a literacy programme at Otari School, helping children with their reading skills.
As a parish we support the Wellington City Mission Food bank. Every Sunday a collection of groceries items is presented as part of our offertory and delivered to the City Mission.
St Anne’s no longer offers an EZEE Meal Service through the Northland Community Centre. For those who want EZEE Meals in the future the closest options are as follows:

City Mission, 200 Riddiford St, Newtown: Phone 389-2033 Office hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm Delivery Option available for an extra $2 per order. Pick-up option also available. Orders need to be in by Thursday 2pm at the latest and will be delivered on Friday between 10.30am and 12.30
We have a handypersons roster at St Anne’s—a list of volunteers who could do odd jobs around the house or garden for seniors & others who need this. These are the little jobs around home (sweeping drives, fixing tap washers, clearing gutters): the jobs that are too small for tradespeople to want to do them. This is a way for us to help the community we are part of—a way of being ‘the church at the heart of the community’.
If you have a job that you need doing, call the Vicarage (475-9085) or Rosemary Tomlinson (475-8765) & they can pass the details on to the appropriate volunteer. (If you would like to make a donation in return, that would be OK.)
